Before The Great Unknown
There is no light,
There is no sound,
No matters to be found.

I saved a lot for that moment to be around,
A picture of you sipping ptea,
A song we sang at that night in bed,
A joke you tell at the dinner we had.
When it’s time,
At least those will still be mine.

I think I will be standing beside you,
Will everyone be here?
Will I hold your hand?
Will I kiss your forehead?
When it’s time,
We will hear the chime.

I even practiced to receive that day in my head,
What should I say on the podium?
What flowers should I get?
Which photo would you like?
When it’s time,
I think I will handle it fine.

No matter who first march into the realm,
Where there is no light,
There is no sound,
No matters to be found.
